SDG 2.2: Feeding The Women Of The World
Welcome to my Unit 2 Action Project. In my Food For Thought class, we are currently in Unit 2, which is called Death. Yes, death is not an easy subject to talk about, but it's sadly apart the history of agriculture. When the concept of agriculture came to be, that's when the concept of slavery and famine also came to be. We learned about the Irish Potato Famine, the Atlantic Slave Trade, and Chattel slavery. Our next focus was about Union workers, and the Mexican American Delano Grape strike, where we learned that economic rights are tied to human rights. All these steps lead up to our action project, Sustainable Development Goal 2. I choose SDG 2.2, which is about making sure adolescent girls, women, young children, and the elderly have the proper nutrition and that all forms of malnutrition are ended. I believe this SDG is important because the women of the world are the caretakers, and their health can most times be overlooked.
Below is my paper.
