Mental Health Awareness

For my Workshop class Algebra, we've been learning about equations and statistics. We learned about using the Chicago Data Portal to find some data on employment/unemployment and different socioeconomic statuses. We compared two different data sets to each other and saw how they related in real life. We created graphs using google sheets and found equations from the trend line. For this mini project, we found our own data sets and created a graph, equation, and prediction from that equation. I chose to do the category of Mental Illness, depression and suicide actually. Suicide is a touchy subject, and with social media and so many different influences in our society the rate of death by suicide for men and women continues to rise.
